HeartCode BLS (Accessible) is the AHA’s WCAG 2.0 A and AA compliant version of HeartCode BLS for users who may require a fully accessible version of the course due to vision, hearing, and/or motor impairments.

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning (online portion), in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session. Includes 10 modules, 5 critical thinking scenarios, and one video tutorial with downloadable resources.

Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on session. The hands-on session is completed in person with an AHA Instructor or using a Voice Assisted Manikin (VAM), where available.
